So here we are, at one of Jeju's most celebrated restaurant -- Yuri-ne.
Although there is only one pictured in the picture below,
their two tiger statues seem to be their mascot.
(the other one is right across this one, they face each other)
My personal preference is Doraji Restaurant over Yuri-ne,
but both are popular restaurants that cook traditional Jeju-style food.
Yuri-ne is probably more highly acclaimed outside of Jeju
-- so visit both, and challenge me on this!
The writing you see on the wall... It's not by everyday visitors.
They're all from famous people, it's astonishing how many well-known people
have visited this place!
Here in the photo below,
you can see autographs of the current Korean president (Myung-bak Lee)
and one of my favorite Korean movie director, Ki-duk Kim.
Drawing talent seems to come in handy, here and there.
The Menu
Everyone orders the Abalone Hot pot, so order that!
I honestly haven't been here enough to know what's best,
but I did enjoy the abalone hot pot.
However, there's something similar that's considered a more local food of Jeju
which I remember to be absolutely amazing.
Although I don't have photos of the place, and I've been there only once, years back.
So message me or something if you're really curious, or plan to visit.
Banchan
Abalone Hot Pot
The abalone meat was outstanding!
One of the best I've tasted. It was in season I hear.
Coral Fish Ice Soup
Beware, this was extremely spicy for my tastebuds.
I had to pick away at the peppers in here after eating about 1/4th of it

I thought their traditional looking cups
engraved with their restaurant name was pretty cute
