Korean - Huh Moonjung's Barley

This place had absolutely the best hospitality ever.

The food was great, (the Jeonla-do area is known to have good food)

and the ladies working there were absolutely the nicest.

A rather remote restaurant in Yeosu,

we wouldn't have found this restaurant gem

if my friend wasn't sick this day...

One of the famous foods in Yeosu is their "Gyejang",

which is marinated raw crab.

There are two versions:

one marinated with soy sauce,

another marinated with spicy sauce!

(oh, how Koreans love the spicy)

Everything on the table was marvelous,

the owner/chef used to work in the famous Gyejang restaurants

before she opened up her own at this location.

She keeps her cooking to her high standards,

using local ingredients for everything that is cooked.

I normally don't like Gyejang,

but I loved her soy sauce Gyejang.

Enough to bring back home 3.5 Kilos!

The spicy sauce one was a bit too sweet for my taste.

The Gyejangs can be ordered to deliver within Korea as well.

Perhaps I might gift someone that likes Gyejang!
