Here's a historic place in Shinchon.
Located near the rear exit of Hyundai Department store,
this K-BBQ place has been around,
serving the hungry University students -- for ages.
They first opened their doors 1972.
At a fast-changing place like Shinchon, this store is probably one of the oldest around.
Although meat -- especially beef,
is considered 'expensive food' in Korea,
the food is quite good and reasonable here.
Perhaps this is possible because of the amount of meat they sell
-- as well as their long history with their meat providers.
Their honest business has done them well,
the restaurant is now a multi-story building!
Bulgogi (American Beef) -- 10,000 per one person's portion
Bibimbab with raw beef
Banchan
Some fruit tea offered as dessert
Overview
I'll have to order something aside from their bulgogi
to figure out whether this place is prime or not when it comes to their food.
Most of their foods are better than average,
(except for naengmyun which is usually better at restaurants that specializes in them,
but definitely better naengmyun than any other BBQ places I've been)
it's always been a good and satisfying meal here.
One thing about this place that really stuck out to me was their service.
I'm usually pretty oblivious about service;
I tend to not mind it -- good or bad.
Maybe the waitresses here go though rigorous training,
because I always find the service here exceptional.
