Korean - Weesaeng Jjimdaak

Andong was another city I enjoyed staying at,
perhaps it was because of the warm hospitality we received while staying there.

While me and my traveling companion was wandering around
the streets of Andong on a cold winter night trying to find "Jjimdaak"
-- one of the locally famous foods,
a young local gentleman personally escorted us to the marketplace!

People seem to be much more kind and generous outside big cities.
Funny I say this, since Andong is probably one of the bigger cities in Korea.

... Anyways ...

There are a number of jjimdaak restaurants inside the market.
All relatively close to each other, due to the market being small-sized.

One thing you must try is the Andong soju.
You can find it virtually at any restaurant in Andong.
If it's not on the menu, just ask for it!

Andong Soju is much stronger than the regular Chamyiseul
or whatever you usually find at stores or at "Hof"s.
Here on their menu they offer 21% and 40%.

Our food came out, we asked for "tiny tiny bit spicy"
but damnit, still too spicy for my standards.

In their menu they offered two sizes: medium and large.
Medium was a bit too big for two people. Perhaps ideally 3.
Maybe even 4 girls with some rice on the side.

Overall, it was okay.
Was it really all that much better than the jjimdaaks that we find in Seoul?
Hmm... Not too sure about that.
Maybe it was the restaurant we went to,
I didn't find it exceptional.
